Lent invites us into the silence. Into the desert. Into the deep places where God waits. This year, we are pleased to offer you a free companion for that sacred journey, an e-book titled Lent in Contemplation.
Prepared for the CACS community by three founding members of the Contemplative Women of St Anne — a lay community in the Archdiocese of Toronto who live as a “monastery without walls” — this e-book draws on the feminine mystical and monastic tradition of the Church to guide you into a richer experience of Lent.
Across forty days, you will journey through three transformative themes:
- The Desert — where silence does its patient, holy work
- The Temptations — where we name our compulsions and find freedom
- The Passion — where we are drawn ever closer to the heart of Christ
Each day brings gospel readings, prayers and reflections designed to deepen your awareness of self and of God — because contemplative prayer is, at its essence, a relationship of love.
