Join us for the Carmelite Spirituality Network online Talk – Befriending Heaven in Spiritual Direction with St Therese of Liseux.

Therese intensely lived her last 18 months knowing that she was incurably sick and her shifting experiences are preserved in her letters and in the notes of conversations with her sisters.

Considering Therese’s own experience of loss and the relentless progress of her illness, we will reflect on how she can help us in the process towards death that we all go through and how – and in what form – spiritual direction can help us to ‘befriend heaven.’  Is there an approach to spiritual direction that addresses the distinctive needs of those coming to the end of their lives?
