Jesus Wept: Engaging Tears in Spiritual Direction will explore tears as a common phenomenon in spiritual direction underscoring its different possible interpretations. It will explore how spiritual directors respond to deep emotional/spiritual distress which arises in the process of spiritual direction.

What might the tears mean? How would the Director help the directee pray with their tears or understand the ‘hidden’ meaning of this external phenomenon triggered by an internal emotional experience.
